Escape the Ordinary

North Beach Village Resort

By Amber Alvarez July 31, 2019

We've all been there, you get into that routine, the one where the days start to blur into one another and before you know it, you find yourself texting your husband "I'm about to loose it!" multiple times a day. That's the que, the sign to take a break and sometimes a break with the entire family will surface but for me, at least a couple times a year, I have to escape! I have to run away from all the responsibilities (yes by responsibilities I mean the kids) and just breath and be, with my love. I love my children, I love our Family adventures but just twice a year,  I have to enjoy a getaway that doesn't require a get away afterwards, because admit it vacationing with your kids is exhausting! You have to pack all the things, do all the things and I day dream of doing absolutely nothing. . All jokes aside, if I'm not taking care of me, if I'm not taking time for my relationship, Then I'm not the best me or the best mom and my hubby and I aren't the best we, that we could be. Self care is important to me and a must for my mental health, Thankfully my self care break que and our anniversary synchronized quite perfectly. Ft. Lauderdale beach is one of my most favorite places to run away to with or without the kids, Its not far from home making it a perfect weekend warrior getaway, you feel safe , its clean, classy and offers a lot of day time activities and endless night life options.

Choosing a Hotel anywhere can be a daunting task,  there are tons of places to stay in this Sea side, South Florida City. In my opinion, Boutique is always best! You're going to get something extra special, something unique and original , North Beach Village Resort is all of those things and more. Located a short stroll from the Sand on Breakers Ave and beyond you will find  Twelve properties, Three restaurants and One village, the heart of it all. North Beach Village has it all, literally. A clothing shop with adorable finds, an Art gallery, a miniature grocery store. Everywhere you look there is a fun place to explore or inviting spot to relax. Its funky, in the best possible way, young and constantly evolving. I can assure you that every time you visit you will see something new , their impeccable hospitality however, that is a constant. NBV is a collection of  beautiful boutique hotels, each with a vibe all their own, we stayed at North Beach Hotel in one of their suites complete with kitchenette, dining area and a living room  with separate bedroom and on suite bath. The room was spotless, beds are super comfortable and the complimentary toiletries aren't  in tiny bottles that seem to never quite provide enough. Here they have Shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash mounted to the shower wall , smells divine! Best part is no one was busting in the door asking me to open a snack. The hotel itself is amazing and fun to explore, a true treat for your senses. Take a stroll through the village and grab a bite to eat at the food truck, or a glass of Vino in the Wine Garden, Sip coffee and people watch, treat yourself to a Spa service, work up a sweat at the Village Gym or rent a Bike and cruse the Beach.

NBV is far from cookie butter and invites you to customize your stay, want to play it low key? Each building has its own pool! In this Summer heat the more opportunities to be submerged in Water the better! Read a book, soak up some Sun, Nap or take a Yoga class. Looking for something more lively? Staff will happily arrange off site excursions and  host monthly events like Car shows, Themed parties, Street festivals, Workshops, Movie nights and more, so make sure you check the calendar. Speaking of staff, they are all phenomenal, Jerry and I being Cuban tend to run on our own clock. We arrived to check in late at we were greeted with warm, authentic smiles. Good vibes flow through the village and the ambiance is romantic. Jerry and I had a fantastic time and returned feeling reconnected and ready for life again. So, I dare you! Slip on your favorite pair of flip flops ,grab your hunny, and run away to North Beach Village Resort, Live a little, Explore  Ft. Lauderdale beach a lot and escape the ordinary.
