Sometimes you can find BIG fun in some pretty surprising places. Tucked away in Phipps Plaza, a highend shopping mall in Buckhead, Atlanta is Legoland Discovery Center. Being from South FL we are very familiar with LEGOLAND and frequent the theme park and waterpark but we've never explored a Discovery Center". I imagined lots of building stations and maybe an few interactive activates. We were in for quite the surprise!
Legoland Discovery Center is doing their part to keep Covid at bay AND keep guests comfortable. While they are requiring you to reserve a timed play session with limited occupancy , masks are encouraged but not mandatory, which was a breath of fresh air. They are sanitizing frequently, have reminders throughout the facility to socially distance yourself from others and have one way walk ways around different exhibits like Mini Land, a jaw dropping display of the city of Atlanta's Landmarks constructed out of Lego bricks! The Discovery center has also implemented other creative ways to cut down on cross contamination like brick bags, each child gets their own bag of Lego bricks to play with, you may have as many bags as you need, but may not share with others, done building? return them to be disinfected.
Your reserved play time gives you Two hours of play, there is so much to do that we used up every single min of our play time. From Ninja Training to VR experiences Legoland Discovery center has it all, Check out what's on the inside! All that excitement can work up an appetite, the Café is a few steps away from all the fun, with plenty of snacks and drinks. My kids are Two and Ten and they were both having a blast, something for everyone. You'll leave through a large Lego store with all different price points so it wont break the bank to bring some Lego home with you. If you are planning a road trip like us or will be in the Atlanta area any time soon, take my word for it and add Legoland Discovery Center to your list of must do's! Everything is Awesome!
