Good, Clean Family Fun

Daytona Lagoon

By Amber Alvarez July 21, 2020

After being quarantined for weeks, fun was definitely on the agenda but like all of you, safety is always number One and present in my mind. When we were planning our road trip stop in Daytona, I was worried there wouldn't be much for the kids to do. When I think of Daytona, I think Bike week, Race cars, Beach and tacky t-shirt shops. More of a Playground for adults, right? Wrong! While scouring the Internet for options, I stumbled upon Daytona Lagoon. I browsed the website, saw that they were taking Covid precautions and quickly added it to the top of our "to-do" list. I can assure you that this place is unlike any other you've been to. Its HUGE. Imagine if an epic Water park and family fun center had a Baby! I'm talking best of both worlds and ready for this? Steps from Daytona Beach! It was right across the street from our hotel, total mom win.  Anytime I can get my family taking a healthy walk all together and save money on parking, I'll take it. Daytona Lagoon opens at 11am, which I love, it gives you plenty of time to wake up , do Breakfast and not feel rushed.

When you arrive Immediately you can tell they care, they aren't just skating by with the necessary mandatory local Covid precautions. They're going above and beyond, take a peek at the health protocols they've implemented. Temp checks before you even walk through the doors. Face masks required and enforced in all indoor spaces and signage is everywhere. Guests are well informed and reminded to keep some space between themselves and their neighbors. All Employees are wearing PPE and I was happy to find hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the facility, making it convenient to keep those little hands clean while playing arcade games. Daytona Lagoon Is so much more than an Arcade, It's Laser tag, It's Go-Karts, It's a Sky walk and more. Check it out

Another awesome feature is they allow you to leave and come back! So, you don't have to worry about not being able to do it all before the kids start to crumble as nap time nears and you get your moneys worth.  Water park in the morning until Lunch, leave and take a break, then return in the evening to make it a full day of fun! Speaking of Lunch their Food is YUM, lots of options, something for everyone, yes, even your pickiest eater, no long lines to order or wait times,  just quality food at an affordable price, not to mention a full bar.  We had a blast at the Water park! There are slides for every age and level of dare devil,  a lazy River, Wave pool and even Cabanas that you can rent if you're feeling extra fancy. My entire family enjoyed the kiddie area, Jerry and I especially! With so much to do  in one area they were completely entertained and we were able to keep a close eye on them and also relax while falling Water massaged our middle aged backs, perfection! There are plenty of areas to sit and eat, or lounge while social distancing, lockers to keep valuables safe and areas of shade for little ones. Until next time. Peace, Love & Macaroni!
