We had an AMAZING day at Islands of Adventure last weekend. I urge you to take advantage of the theme parks, the pandemic has its perks! Covid is definitely keeping crowds at a minimal, don't get me wrong there are people but far from typical. International and out of state travelers are postponing their trips which makes for shorter wait times, better photo opps and a less crowded expertise. Compared to our resent visit to Universal just a month or so ago we were surprised that this visit they were WAYYY more lax about the masks then they were before. They seem to be embracing phase three a bit more.
Unlike Disney. As long as you had it on your face they didn’t say anything even if your nose was peeking out we were so much more comfortable, you could snack on the go, shops and restaurants were all open, they still have express passes , refillable cups for purchase and some entertainment and character meet and greets at a distance. Also unlike Disney, Universal never once asked Gabi her age or to mask up, they have trick or treating at the shops, and we rode everythinnnnnnnggggg with zero wait! I mean everything all the new Harry Potter rides, Hulk twice, Gabi was big enough to go on a few bigger rides like Kong, which was fun...it sprinkled a little in the morning and then was overcast and cool the rest of the day. I highly recommend going on a Sunday! Get out there and have some fun!
